Eco Centre Boardwalk, Nathan campus

The Boardwalk is the main entrance to the EcoCentre. As you walk up the boardwalk, you will see a running creek, a small waterfall pond and a cage where one of our resident snakes live. The EcoCentre is a key element of the Griffith Sciences Partnerships Office. As part of this team, we promote an encouraging message that the knowledge, existing framework and resources to develop a truly sustainable world already exists. Opened in 2001, the building itself acts as our primary education tool, with features that incorporate the key principles of sustainable design. Our innovative approach to promoting sustainable ways of living and working also involves the development and delivery of public awareness education programs in partnership with Griffith University, industry, government and the wider community.
